Last week, while I was at the TNNA summer trade show, I thought I would draft this biweekly post and publish it. However, two minor technology snafus derailed my plan. The experience made me pause and question why I assigned extreme urgency to posting here.
Instead, I enjoyed lovely coffee at Rising Star Coffee in the Arcade. I found it refreshing to pause from the controlled chaos that is the nature of a large-scale networking event. As a start my day, it was much better than stressing about what I thought were highest priorities before I arrived in Cleveland.
My mindset shifted to focus first on enjoying a delicious hot drink. Then I began to work through the day’s plan utilizing my systems. I know this helped it be a very positive and productive show for me, including a new adventure.
Is there a moral to this post? I think that while we make plans–especially when traveling–expect the unexpected! For me, it was a good reminder to embrace flexibility continue to move forward.
