When the task list threatens to overwhelm, I have one thing I make sure I do daily to continue to make progress.
I go to bed (and sleep) on time.
I do not pull an all-nighter to get it all done. I prioritize and when the time comes, I close up my work space, follow my nightly routine, and go to sleep. It’s very difficult to say no to work and go to bed, however, I’ve learned over the years that I actually get more done by sleeping a normal night’s sleep. I also no longer need to redo work I messed up because I was too tired to complete it properly the first time.
I’m not alone in this mindset.
